Deleting Jobs for Reckon and QuickBooks

Managing Tracking Categories, Jobs, and Classes for Conversion

Xero recommends using no more than 100 tracking categories to avoid reporting performance issues.

  • For the Accelerate package, we can convert a maximum of 500 jobs.

  • Xero has a hard limit of 2,450 tracking categories. If your file exceeds this, you may need to reduce the number of jobs to meet package criteria.

If your file exceeds the 500-job limit however contains fewer than 2,450 jobs, you can request a custom conversion to accommodate this. 

Reckon and QuickBooks

To check and delete classes:

  1. Go to Lists > Class Lists.

  2. Right-click the class you wish to remove and select Delete.

In these platforms, customers/suppliers are often set up as jobs. To review:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Jobs, Time & Mileage > Job Profitability Summary.

NotesNOTE: If the 500 limit is impacted by Customer or Supplier jobs then you will be unable to limit the number of jobs. You may consider a custom conversion, to either include or exclude these from Xero.
